SNEF Connect – UGAP Days Highlights

by SPAC Alliance | November 2025 | News

SPAC Alliance took part in two events organized by SNEF Connect and UGAP. The first took place in Vendenheim, Alsace, with Sandrina Castillo, followed by a second in Bron with Thibaud Estienne.

These meetings fostered dialogue between public-sector stakeholders, integrators, experts, and end users around key issues of security and compliance, with a focus on new European obligations.

Vendenheim (October 21)

At the Kaleido Place in Vendenheim, a day dedicated to public security challenges and new European regulations provided an opportunity to explore the NIS 2 and REC directives in depth, their market impact, and their implementation.

Two conferences were offered:

  • Transposition of the NIS 2 Directive by Sandrina Castillo
  • Video surveillance: your regulatory obligations by Marion Maillard (Fair-View)

As always, these presentations sparked numerous discussions with integrators, design offices, and attending users.

Several key trends are emerging

  • Even without a precise regulatory framework, end users are taking ownership of their security and have understood the importance of relying both on recognized solutions and trusted partners
  • The message consistently promoted by SPAC Alliance and its members — to begin any security approach with a reliable risk analysis — is well understood and applied

Bron (November 6)

The Bron event was held at the Parilly Racecourse. The speech by the Mayor of Bron, Jérémy Bréaud, highlighted the impact of a proactive policy: a reduction in vandalism, strengthened cooperation, and a shared commitment to building a culture of security.

This reflects the very essence of the SPAC Alliance message and our joint presentation with François Kaufmann (SNEF): start from the actual need, document, integrate the right solutions, maintain and support. And to demonstrate, as Jean-Louis Gallego reminded us in his introduction:

Certification is not a façade; it is a long-term technical commitment.

Our conference, “Decoding the obligations and responsibilities imposed by the regulatory framework,” helped identify the responsibilities of each stakeholder — from end users subject to the NIS 2 and REC directives, to manufacturers and software publishers under the Cyber Resilience Act. Through numerous real-world examples, François highlighted the crucial role of services in security — from solution selection to vulnerability management.

This presentation emphasized the need for transparency in security, underscoring the importance of certifications and standards in France and Europe — not only to achieve compliance but also to reach the appropriate level of security for each context.

SPAC Alliance Members and Partners

We also had the pleasure of meeting many member partners during these events. It is always a pleasure to meet regional teams and exchange with their partners and clients at their booths.

Conclusion

From Vendenheim to Bron, these events illustrate the convergence of expertise toward a common goal: strengthening national and European sovereignty in the field of security, while concretely supporting users in understanding and implementing regulatory requirements.
