SPAC Alliance presents the HESTIA feedback report to ANSSI

by SPAC Alliance | February 2026 | News

On January 22, ahead of the ANSSI Industrie event, we had the pleasure of presenting a comprehensive feedback report on the work carried out as part of the HESTIA project, a project funded by the European Union, NCC-FR (ANSSI), and Bpifrance under the France 2030 program. The HESTIA project, conducted within a dedicated SPAC Alliance working group, is involved in the work related to the development of Harmonized Standard No. 16, required by the European Commission for the compliance of Class 1 “important” products under the Cyber Resilience Act.

The SPAC Alliance delegation

Most of the stakeholders involved in the HESTIA project were present at the event: Cabinet Louis Reynaud, ELSYLOG, STid, IDEMIA, Orange Business, Secure Systems & Services, SGAMI Nord, OMNITECH SECURITY, Connectwave, SYNCHRONIC, Genetec, and MOBOTIX France.

A successful outcome

What should be taken away from this feedback experience? For more than a year, we have been fully engaged and worked jointly to validate each key milestone, from the call for projects to the drafting and submission of the New Work Item (NWI), including the drafting of pre-standardization technical specifications, the response to the CEN CENELEC call for candidates, as well as the development and publication of the training document designed to understand harmonized standards related to the CRA.

The HESTIA project brought together more than 40 SPAC Alliance members who took part in bi-monthly working meetings held over a period of more than eight months.
You can download the full presentation below. It provides details on each key stage of the project, as well as the next steps in SPAC Alliance’s involvement regarding Standard No. 16, which is now in the hands of CEN within the TC 224 WG 17, led by Cabinet Louis Reynaud, a SPAC Alliance member and rapporteur for this standard.

This feedback report, which was highly appreciated by ANSSI, as well as the overall success of the project, enabled us to position ourselves as a trusted stakeholder for the Agency. All of this work has strengthened our legitimacy within the ecosystem and opens up promising prospects for future French and European standardization calls for projects.

We would once again like to thank all the institutions involved in the success of this project: Bpifrance, the NCC-FR, the ANSSI, as well as the many professional organizations that contributed to it. We should also not forget STid, which acted as the project lead, and once again the Cabinet Louis Reynaud, which has supported the project from day one.

This commitment was rewarded with the presentation of the NCC-FR call for projects winner’s diploma by Vincent Strubel during the ANSSI Industrie event that followed.
