Problem

  • A visitor presents their badge to a reader.
  • The system sends a command to detect the presence of the badge.
  • Once detected, a command verifies the unique ID stored on the DESFire badge.
  • If the ID is authorized, the door opens immediately for quick access.

2. Outside of High-Traffic Hours (After 8 PM): Double Authentication with Biometrics

Enhance security during periods without human supervision.

Process:

  • The visitor presents their badge to the reader, triggering a command.
  • The system checks the time and activates the double authentication mode if it’s after 8 PM.
  • A command is sent to activate the biometric sensor, asking the visitor to place their finger.
  • Once the fingerprint is validated, a command verifies the ID on the DESFire badge.
  • If both steps are successful, the door opens, ensuring highly secure access.
