SPAC Alliance, represented by Sylvain Bosquet, took part in the 2026 congress of GPMSE (the French Association of Electronic Security Professions), held in Caen on 11 and 12 June 2026.
More than 300 participants attended the event, which focused on a central theme: DATA, the fuel of AI, the black gold of the 21st century.
GPMSE: a recognised player in the security ecosystem
The opening of the congress by Jean-Didier Berger, Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Interior, sent a strong signal to the entire profession. It highlighted the essential role played by electronic security companies within the security continuum, alongside the State and local authorities.
Access control, video protection, intrusion detection, remote monitoring, supervision, perimeter protection: electronic security systems now produce, process and use critical data. Mastering this data is essential for operational efficiency, user trust, the protection of sensitive sites and compliance with new European requirements such as NIS 2, the AI Act and the Cyber Resilience Act.
DATA and AI: an opportunity that must be mastered
The congress explored data from several complementary angles: value creation, governance, cybersecurity, sovereignty, organisational transformation and concrete use cases for artificial intelligence.
The message is clear: AI can only become a sustainable opportunity if data is properly qualified, protected and governed. This future must be built on trust.
At a time when the AI Act, NIS 2, the Cyber Resilience Act, the CER Directive and national compliance frameworks such as ReCyF are reshaping the landscape, companies can no longer treat regulatory topics as isolated constraints. They must integrate them into a coherent strategy for risk management, system security and maturity building.
First collaboration between GPMSE and SPAC Alliance
This 2026 edition of the GPMSE Congress marked the first collaboration with GPMSE, a new member of SPAC Alliance.
Thanks to Sylvain Bosquet, who hosted the dedicated corner on the Omnitech Security / INVYSSIS stand, visitors were able to gain a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory framework and better understand the importance of joining professional organisations such as GPMSE or SPAC Alliance, in order to stay up to date and benefit from expert support in addressing security challenges.
Conclusion
At a time when physical security and cybersecurity are converging, AI has an important role to play. This topic is not reserved for IT departments; it directly concerns the electronic security professions. We must have tools that are as powerful as those used by attackers. These countermeasures will only be effective if they are properly mastered and governed.
