Omnitech Security obtains CSPN certification incorporating SSCP

OMNITECH Security has obtained ANSSI CSPN certification for its access control ecosystem comprising SEAL, ULS4 and MCS4. By adopting open technologies such as the SSCP protocol, OMNITECH Security (member of SPAC Alliance) demonstrates our ecosystem’s commitment to trusted access control backed by proven security.

SEAL System with ULS4: a comprehensive access control architecture

The solution combines centralized access management with local access decisions. The SEAL server enables operators to manage cardholders’ access rights and validity periods, then distribute this information to the local controllers responsible for enforcing access permissions.

The evaluated scope includes three complementary components:

  • SEAL Exploitation 2025.2: the access management software, supporting access rights administration and activity logging.
  • ULS4, firmware 2.38: the local access controller, which identifies and authenticates credentials, then grants or denies access based on the permissions stored in its internal database.
  • MCS4, firmware 2.11: the modules that interface with card readers and door hardware, and report associated status information and alarms.

The certification covers the access control configuration defined in the security target below:

SSCP: secure communications and transparent reader operation

The SSCP protocol secures communications between SEALDES-4 readers and MCS4 modules. The readers operate in transparent mode: DESFire EV3 credentials are authenticated using the SAM installed in the ULS4, keeping credential-reading keys away from the access point and enabling encrypted communication between the credential and the SAM.

This latest certification highlights SSCP’s contribution to high-security access control architectures.
