CO-MANAGER & Sales Director

Can you describe your activity?

XPR is a group that operates in three different areas: subcontracting, design and development, and the manufacture and marketing of its products.

Since 1986, XPR has specialised in the designing and manufacturing of security-related products, particularly access control systems. Our R&D offices are capable of developing and integrating the most innovative technologies, while offering a modern and aesthetic design that adapts to any environment.

We market our products under the XPR brand, but we can also offer customised products on OEM or ODM terms for any project. Today, XPR exports to around thirty countries for exports and has become a major player in the access control sector.

What are your challenges in terms of security?

Cloning of identifiers, such as proximity badges or cards, is a major security issue for access control systems.

To address these challenges, it is essential to rely on secure communication standard and robust and scalable security technologies.

Our main security challenges are :

  • Securing identifiers and combating cloning by using dynamic encryption keys to ensure that each transaction is unique and tamper-proof.
  • Protecting exchanges between readers and controllers using secure communication protocols (customisable SSCP & RS485) to prevent any eavesdropping or data manipulation. It is also essential to use advanced encryption to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of transmitted information.
  • Developing readers that are flexible, scalable, and resilient in the face of new threats.

Our ultimate goal is to convince our partners to increase the security level of their products and solutions in order to prevent break-ins and increase customer confidence.

Why join SPAC Alliance and its ecosystem?

We believe it is important to be part of an alliance that brings together the key players in the European security market.

Our aim is to be involved in discussions and decisions by providing our advice and expertise as a specialist in the access control market.

It is necessary to bring together professionals in the sector so that they can consult vith each other, adopt the right policies and comply with them.

The geopolitical challenges are manu and this association should strengthen its partners.

What benefits can the SSCP protocol bring to the European security market? And to you?

We see the SSCP protocol as the essential security standard to meet the technological challenges and evolving threats.

One of the key benefits of the SSCP protocol is of course its security level, but also its interoperability. As an open communication standard, it is the ideal choice for heterogeneous environments where access control devices from different manufacturers or generations need to interact without compromising security.

The importance of certification and the use of Standards in the European security market?

Certifications and standards attest to the quality and reliability of a product or solution. They play a key role in ensuring the compliance of security solutions while protecting their stakeholders from unfair competition.

They provide a real security assurance that benefits benefits the entire industry and, most importantly, the end user.
